We’ve done it again!

We are offering a fresh-to-market Tudor Submariner that was issued to the Marine Nationale—the maritime arm of the French defense forces. This particular example was issued by the MN in 1977, as indicated by the “MN 77” engraved on the case back!

These reference 9401 no-date Subs are hard to find with a nice blue dial on any day. But a quality example like this comes along only once a year. Just look at the beautiful color of the lume on the plots and snowflake hands. The slightly faded blue inlay on the bezel adds character, and even the case remains thick in all the right places after years of military service. If there's one thing worth noting, it’s that the lume pip on the insert has been refilled in the past.

The watch has been paired with a nice single-pass strap from our collection, as the actual MN servicemen would have worn.

The watch is also accompanied by a letter from our dear friend and Tudor specialist, Ross Povey, aka “Tudorcollector,” confirming that the Tudor Submariner falls within the correct serial number range for Marine Nationale-issued pieces from 1977. This fine Submariner has been fully checked and regulated by our watchmaker.
