The journey began in 1922 when the visionary Hyman Wein established the Clinton Watch Company. His vision was straightforward: to import premier Swiss movements to deliver the absolute pinnacle of watchmaking craftsmanship.

As their influence expanded, they established manufacturing facilities in Switzerland, the Virgin Islands, New York, and Providence. Their growth was further propelled by the acquisition of prestigious watch brands, including Hampden Watch in the mid-1950s and Benrus Watch in the 1980s. Amid this extensive expansion, the essence of their business remained rooted in Chicago, where they tirelessly crafted exceptional watches.

Introduced in 2024, alongside three other distinct models, we are honored to present the Hampden Model 4, a remarkable timepiece that beautifully combines vintage inspiration with the demands of modern life. With a touch of mid-century style, the Model 4 exudes sophistication without pretension.

Featuring a two-tone stainless-steel case with a striking coin edge design, this watch is available in four vibrant dial color options that make a bold statement. From casual outings to formal events, the Model 4 is engineered to last, ensuring it will be a pleasure to wear for years to come.

The Hampden Model 4 watch is powered by a Swiss-made Ronda quartz 3-hand movement. It features 5 jewels, a sub-second hand, a quick-setting date indicator, and an impressive 60-month battery life, ensuring precision and reliable performance in any setting.

Available in four distinct dial colors—Onyx, Cobalt, Ruby, and Sage—the Hampden Model 4 features a stunning sunburst dial complemented by a small second sub-dial and a date window, both positioned at 6 o’clock. The polished silver-plated applied indices and a white printed second track enhance its elegance. The dial is proudly signed with Hampden Chicago name/logo, adding a touch of authenticity to this exceptional timepiece.

The Swiss-made movement is housed in a 40mm round case and gold steel coin edge finish on the sides with fancy wired lugs. The two-tone case is made of polished stainless-steel and measures 48mm lug-to-lug and 22mm between the lugs. The watch features a sapphire crystal with an anti-reflective coating and a fixed polished bezel with a retro-style two-tone crown. It is water-resistant up to 5ATM / 50meters.

It comes on a 22mm sleek Milanese mesh metal two-piece band, featuring a quick-release mechanism for easy removal. Additionally, the Hampden Model 4 includes an Italian leather two-piece strap that can be effortlessly swapped out using the same quick-release mechanism—no tools required.

How it Works:

 - Select and purchase your Hampden watch model.

 - During or after your purchase, we will schedule a 1:1 appointment with a Second Hand Horology consultant to create your custom caseback, upload your own text or imagery, or choose from one of our pre-designed caseback options.

 - Hampden begins the custom engraving process and once it's complete, it will be shipped.
